50 Years Diploma

On Tuesday 19th January 2010, Brother William SC Renwick was presented his 50 year diploma by the RWM Brother John Collins.

Brother Renwick was initiated into the craft on Tuesday 19th January 1960 (which incidentally was Dolly Partons 14th Birthday) and he threw himself into the craft with a passion. He was installed in the Chair of King Solomon, just after the 150th celebrations in 1968, at his first degree working as master he performed the Master Mason ceremony on George Preston. As is the custom in Lodge St John Mid Calder he served two terms as Master between 1968 and 1970.

Willie has been a tireless supporter of the lodge throughout the years and well as being a founder member of Lodge Almondale 1658 and a re-poning member of Lodge Pioneer 1305. For 12 years between 1995 and 1997 Willie served the lodge as secretary.

He has also been honoured with Provincial and Grand Lodge honours and is a member of the Royal Order of Scotland.
